Today’s session

Session focus: Coached workout with effort-based groups. Set confirmed by the coach on the morning based on the group and conditions.

  • 5:30am: Welcome, quick briefing and warm up
  • Main set: Coached workout with effort-based groups (options to keep it steady or dial it up)
  • Cool down: Easy jog and walk back together

Meeting point and timing

  • Arrive: from 5:20am so we can start on time
  • Start: 5:30am
  • Finish: around 6:30am
  • Meeting spot: Red Hill Bowls Club, Red Hill map

What to bring

  • Running shoes you are comfortable in
  • Water (especially in warmer months)
  • A head torch if it is dark where you are travelling from
  • If you have them: watch, gel, or anything you normally use for training (optional)

Cancellations and weather

We aim to run every Wednesday. If conditions are unsafe, we will cancel or adjust the session.

  • We usually still run in: light rain and normal summer humidity
  • We may cancel for: lightning, severe storms, extreme heat, track closures, or other safety concerns
  • How we communicate: we will update this page and notify registered runners by email
  • When to check: on the morning of the session before leaving home

The session is coached by Meagan Brown, an Athletics Australia accredited coach.

If we have a shoe partner joining this session, we will note it here (and email registered runners). If you are curious about testing something specific, mention it in your registration.
